So you've read or heard about AmigaZone but you're not sure you want to join until you can test drive it for a while. Okay, so now you can join and test drive it for a while. Was that easy enough? ;-)

To apply for a FREE two-week trial AmigaZone account, all you have to do is send email to harvL at amigazone dot com .

In your letter, please state your real name and ask for your FREE two week Amiga Zone trial account. If you want to use a certain "handle" or "nickname" for your account, state that too. But all requests must have your real name included. Be sure to include a valid, working return email path to you. Note:: Due to abuse, we will not honor requests for trial accounts sent from "throwaway" addresses such as Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com Your request must come from, and the trial account information will be sent back ONLY to an email address from a real ISP email account. Also, send your request as plain ASCII text, not HTML, or it will be ignored. Put "AmigaZone Trial" in the subject line or else it will be ignored. We do not share your information with anyone. Your name and email address are not given/lent/leased/sold to any remailers for any purpose at any time whatsoever.

I've received quite a few requests from people who have mis-configured email accounts such that when I send them back their trial account login info, my mail to them bounces. Be absolutely certain that you include a VALID working return email path to you! If you have a spam-blocked return address, make it obvious what to remove from it to make it work. Don't make me guess. I hate guessing :)

You will get a letter back within a few days with your trial account login information.

Once you have your trial account info, to access the AmigaZone you simply telnet to "amigazone.com" from any other Internet-connected account you have after you log in to your local ISP. You can telnet to amigazone.com from a dialup UNIX shell account or you can use any ISP account and a telnet client like AmTelnet, MiamiTelnet, whatever, and point it to amigazone.com You can also use your web browser and point it at http://amigazone.com (without the "www") which is our members' interface. We have two completely different interfaces for people who like a text-style BBS and people who like a Web- based system, and they both access all the same stuff and you can use either of them or even both of them at the same time.

If you'd like to try out the AmigaZone FREE for two weeks, just send email to harvL at amigazone dot com from your regular mail program. Again, make SURE you include a valid, working return email path to you and send your request as plain ASCII Text email, and title your email "AmigaZone Trial" or it will be ignored and deleted.

Please include your full Real Name and your choice of "nickhame" or "handle" (if you want one) and then wait for our reply with your login information.

Here's the fine print department:

"WHAT CAN I DO WITH THE TRIAL ACCOUNT?"

• Your trial account will last for two weeks (14 days) from the day it's set up. You can access the AmigaZone for up to 120 minutes per day during those two weeks.
• You will not be billed anything for this trial account. No payment is asked for or required.
• You will be notified by email when your trial account is opened.
• You will have access to all the features of the Amiga Zone except that you will be limited to logging in for a total of 120 minutes per day during your two week trial. (Paying members have unlimited 24 hour per day access)
• You may download up to two (2) Megabytes of files from our libraries during your trial period.
• You may read and post in our message bases and newsgroups. Keep it clean. We don't like to censor our message bases, but members have families with children and we expect you to be respectful and mindful of this fact. Abuse will not be tolerated, and any messages posted are subject to removal if the content is found to be objectionable.
• You may use our private FTP site to snag files.
• You may participate in our nightly, live chats.
• Your AmigaZone user name will include a special character in it to indicate that you are a trial/demo user until you sign up for full membership.
• No Credit card or money of any kind is required for you to have this free, two-week trial account. You will not have to enter a credit card number at all. When I say it's FREE, I mean FREE!.

This trial account offer has no expiration date.
